Seasonal Flu – Measles


Seasonal flu outbreaks occur during the winter season (from October to April). Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses and is transmitted from human to human. It should not be confused with the common cold, as flu is much more frequent and is usually manifested by lighter symptoms.

According to the following figures (19/10/2017) of HCDCP (Hellenic Center for Disease Control and Prevention), measles outbreaks continue to occur in a number of EU countries. Specifically, 284 measles cases have been notified in Greece. The highest frequency has been observed in South Greece
