Hymenoptera stings (Wasp/ Bee)
Symptoms:
- Pain
- Swelling
- Itching
First aid:
- Call emergency medical services 112/166
- Remove the stinger remaining in the skin as soon as possible
- Medication (e.g. antihistamines, corticosteroids, painkillers): in accordance with medical instructions
- Wash the sting area with soap and water
- Apply ice or cold packs
- If anaphylaxis occurs after a bite, provide first aid as outlined in the “Anaphylaxis” subsection
